Did you know that a year ago today the manifesto was published and the movement initiated? Many people doubted les jeunes mélancoliques would become more than yet another idea – our generation doesn’t like to take matters into their hands, they said. Look at us now, and what we’ve achieved within twelve months – we’ve put up this website filled with short stories, essays and poems, we’ve gathered five young writers and had a very successful reading in December.

We want to take this opportunity and thank all of you who believed in this movement and who supported it. The release date of our DVD is still not fixed as our editor is busy preparing for graduation, but rest assured it will be released as soon as possible. It has become a bit quiet around here, but there is quite a lot happening behind the scenes – stay tuned.
